Abstract

This paper tries to understand how the Brazilian thinker Sérgio Paulo Rouanet insists in the continuity of the theory of modernity in Walter Benjamin, since the persistence of Aufklärung does not imply any hypothesis of progress, but rather a much more likely provision of catastrophes.
