This article examines the construction of an official model of school pluralism embodied in hegemonic proposals for religious education. Focusing on the activities of an inter-religious organization founded in 1995, the Permanent Forum for Religious Education (Fonaper), the analysis seeks to retrace its trajectory, its collaborative networks, and its prescriptions for training teachers who are sensitive to dealing with differences. The aim is to map out the ways in which Fonaper’s agents imagine religion and its differences and how they face the problem of the truth of heterogeneous and contrasting propositions. To this end, the article will detail the context that favored the creation of this type of organization, its objectives and networks of interaction and the foundations of its proposal for a pluralistic religious education.
