Abstract

This paper is intended to shed light on how the Brazilian Judiciary came about, the way it should be, the way it is, how it operates and the way it could be. The discussions stem from the need to improve the management, efficiency and democratization of the Judiciary. Finally, we put forward some proposals intended to rethink the structures and goals of the Judiciary.
