Rumo à COP30: a urgência de aterrissar e territorializar as negociações climáticas em Belém

COP30, to be held in November in Belém, is seen as a decisive moment in the face of the climate emergency. In a global context of environmental setbacks, intensified armed conflicts, and forced displacement, Brazil assumes a leadership role amid internal and external challenges. The paper discusses the political and climate scenario leading up to the conference, highlighting the national, regional, and international obstacles that threaten the effectiveness of the negotiations. It argues that, although COP30 will not solve all crises, it represents a critical opportunity to move forward with greater ambition and climate justice.
