Abstract

This paper presents the rationale underlying the new Teacher Education Curriculum designed for Preservice Teachers of Physics and Mathematics, being implemented in the School of Education of the University of S. Paulo. It describes the main aspects of their structures and considers institutional contexts that framed them. The article stress the advances, difficulties and challenges in the process of putint the new project into practice.
