This article analyses the video Road Show Prefeitura de São Paulo, available on Youtube and presented during World Government Summit 2017 in Dubai. This video constitutes an important part of the institution of a public policy that aims the privatization of public spaces and services, elaborated by the municipality of São Paulo in 2017. By using the place marketing, the video grants to the national and international private initiative a wide range of public urban facilities and services, such as public lighting, funeral plans and others. The procedure of analysis was made by using the Peircean and Barthesian semiotics in the light of the studies of Ana Fani Alessandri Carlos and Henri Lefebvre, resulting in the forging of a visual education that affects how we understand our spaces, its usages and appropriations.
