While is denies the critique edition as a definitive operation, finished edotic work, it consolidates the possibility of repetitions to get the textual truth, setting against Bedier and his school. It emphasites the importance of textual exact comprehension for a correct "emendatio". It exemplifies the steps of critique edition,  putting togheter examples of problems.
