Abstract

The aim of this study is to present an overview on the topic of professional qualifications in the accommodation means the first district of the city of Petrópolis-RJ. The method used was the qualitative approach with descriptive design were initially contacted 32 managers (7 hotels and 25 inns), located in the first district area of the city of Petrópolis-RJ, but only four projects have agreed to participate. After this selection was applied a semi-structured questionnaire to the occupants of general manager positions, receptionist and maid / o in order to lift procedures geared towards professional qualifications adopted by the establishments. Through this research was possible to identify, among other results, that there are some initiatives in the surveyed establishments that value the importance of professional qualification. However, it is still worrying the lack of qualified professionals in Petropolis lodging facilities and the lack of interest of employees now stabilized in improving their knowledge.

    <p>Pós doutoranda em Ciência e tecnologia de Polímeros pelo IMA/UFRJ (em realização). Doutora em Ciência e tecnologia de Polímeros pelo IMA/UFRJ (2012). Mestre em Administração pelo Mestrado em Estratégia de Negócios pela UFRRJ. Possui graduação em Administração de Empresas pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2002). Atualmente é professora do Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica Celso Suckow da Fonseca, nos cursos de graduação em Tecnologia em Gestão de Turismo (presencial e EAD) e do curso de Engenharia da Computação. Tem experiência na área de Administração e Gestão Ambiental, com ênfase em Administração, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: turismo, gerenciamento, administração, estratégia e gestao ambiental.</p>
