Marxism and the tourism phenomenon, capital and tourism, leisure and means of production, Marxist historiography of tourism.Abstract
This article expresses a new epistemology of the tourism phenomenon. It also proposes to review the current historiography using the theoretical referential of the historical and dialectical materialism; to search for signals of labor and leisure (work and non-work) categories in Karl Marx's and Paul Lafargue's writings (aided by interpreters); to understand the development of the leisure through the means of production history, that is to say, to understand this phenomenon ontologically, as a humanity principle given by the capital - an elucidative element of life.Downloads
