Abstract

Ecology and Tourism: the two great subjects of the decade. The first grows in accordance with the increase of the environment risks, the increase of the life standard the mankind survival bring at Ask and all sorts of pressure between rich and poor nations, arouse accusing each other for the nature's damage. The latter grows with the development of the means of transport the reduction of the distances, the increase of leisure time, the improving of the life standard, that in approaching people and nations of the world and promoting the return of the mankind towards the nature, will lead the tourism to be the main business of the world in the year 2000. This article analyses the many affinities between these two subjects and how they must and need to agree, to constitute a priority on the sustainable development and an harmonious return of the mankind towards nature.

    Bacharel em Direito, em 1970, pela Faculdade de Direito Cândido Mendes (RJ). Advogado e Técnico Especializado da Embratur, desde 1972. Ex-Diretor-Adjunto e Diretor Interino da Embratur. Curso da Escola Superior de Guerra em 1991.
