Abstract

Introduction: Wheelchairs are a priority assistive product. The use of a wheelchair with adequate configuration can contribute to the user's autonomy, participation and quality of life, while the use of a wheelchair with inadequate configurations can negatively impact health and cause functional limitations. Objective: To identify the methodological procedures of studies on the satisfaction of wheelchair users regarding the product and associated services. Method: This is a scoping review based on the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Results: Most studies used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. It also stands out, samples composed of users of manual wheelchairs with varied diagnoses. Most studies pointed to good levels of satisfaction with the wheelchairs and lower levels with follow-up services. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop further studies in countries in South America and Asia, which investigate not only satisfaction with the resource, but also explore in detail the services based on the 8 stages recommended by the WHO.
