Theories and practices of return and permanence at work: elements for the performance of occupational therapists

The Work is one of the determining factors in the health-sickness process, and is also the central element in the construction of health and identity of individuals. Thus, both its objective aspects, such as working conditions, and the subjective and relational ones, related to the organization of work, are important for the construction of return-to-work programs that are really effective and combine the need for production of goods and services for the construction of the workers’ health. Dialoguing with the national and international literature, the aim of this article is to contribute to the debate about the aspects related to return and permanence and to create elements of reflection to the practices and theories of the Occupational Therapy in this field.Downloads
