Occupational rehabilitation in a bank: facilities and dificults on the return to work

AIM: Some workers get sick and move away from work. In their re-establishiment they need to take their activities again, but with occupational restrictions. In this way a study has been made, looking forward to assess the professional rehabilitation process in a banck, checking facilities and difficulties. MEOTOLOGICALS PROCEEDINGS: The methodology counted on a grupal activity with bankers that were at rehabilitation process and their colegues and managers answered a questionnaire. The analisys was based on social representation theory. RESULTS: Workers presented sorts of difficulties, like: estabilishiment of limits; prejudice; resistence; pression to get their work done; insecurity and fear about the future. About contributive aspects they mentioned: the good recepetion and the fact ok work seemed to be like a factor of social inclusion. Two more impressions mentioned: the company was not ready to receptionates these workers and all the changes of the work's profiles that incresase the workers strains. CONCLUSIONS: It's a complex subject to workers and to society. The main factors that have been raised were the work's organization and the relation between people. Therefore any action in the context of rehabilitation must included this two aspects.Downloads
