Percepção acerca da Terapia Ocupacional

Abstract

This essay is based on the result of a research (questionary) done by the fifth semester students of Occupational Therapy of Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde do IPA (University of Sciences of Health) during the year of 1987. The purpose of this questionary was to know: 1) how nurses, psychologistis, physicians, social workers, nurses assistants, office clerks, etc., were able to perceive Occupational Therapy, what they knew about this profession and; 2) the number of person direct or indirectly related to this subject that had obready heard something aboutit. The analysis of the results, together with observations of my professional practice constitute the basis of this essay bater on, it will be tried to ask the acadêmical community some questions about how Occupational Therapy is perceived in our society.
