Evaluation of two tests of flexibility in female sênior individuais - Photographic method

Abstract

The test ofthe 3rd finger to the ground - with the anterior flexion ofthe spine - is an indicative about the flexibility of the posterior muscular chain, being used as evolution parameter for treatments. This when accomplished by the photographic method, it propitiates an evaluation with qualitativo measurable and indicative data on the performance during the test. With the objective ofcomparing the test 3rd finger to the ground modified in the sitting position and standing, through the photographic method, we avaluates 42 female seniors with age between 62 and 72 years, selected owed to the current fiinctional changes of the physiologic alterations of the aging. Two pictures were accomplished by subject, one in standin and another in sitting position. The measured fist - ground was accomplished in the two positions. For the postural analysis we considered the two positions, being then divided in three groups where the first was constituted of individual in that the distance in sitting position was smaller than the in standing position, the second: distance was smaller satnding than in the sitting, and the third where the measures were not significantly different. Through the pictures it was verified that the differences in the distances fist - ground, they were current ofthe alterations in the width ofmovement ofthe hip flexão, lumbar and cervical lordose. The test in stand position supplies larger indicative about the flexibility of the posterior muscular chain.
