In the Programa de Saúde Mental conducted by the Municipality of Santos, São Paulo, the work arises as an intervention way in the transformation and improvement of the life quatity of its users, through the so called "working projecf" From the description of one of these project, the earth, and from the reflection on the conceptions on which it is based, it took place a discussion on how this practicc objects to the theoretical-practical bases created by the moral treatment, comprehension that has justifyed the exclusion of the crazy.
