The contribution of the Meir Schneider self-healing method in a case of osteoarthritis in hands.

The purpose of this study was to present a treatment alternative for hands osteoarthritis using the Meir Schneider - Self Healing method. It was done a case study in which the participant selected, had the diagnosis hands bilateral osteoarthritis. Intervention was performed a clinical occupational therapy with the use of exercises and massages offered by the method, in a private practice occupational therapy. Were performed pre-tests and post-tests to check the patient’s improvement in pain and life’s quality. The results indicate that the method may be a treatment alternative in such cases, because, indicated an improvement of pain, functional ability and patient life’s quality. We conclude, however, that because it is a case study still more studies are needed.
