This paper reports the process “Action Workshop”, which objective was to put into practice theoretical assumptions from the discipline “The Action as the Precursor of Human Thought”, present in the Occupational Therapy course from UNIFESP/BS, based on authors that study action, and verify its applicability in Mental Health on group therapeutical interventions with patients from NAPS-IV, of the Public Health System in Santos. The focus was not only investigating the subject’s Operative Chains and their importance on everyday life, but also ways to coordinate action and emotion with the world. Methodological procedures: preparation and conducting workshops fortnightly basis, based on experiences and theories studied in the module. Findings: the action workshops both evidenced the importance of looking to the Operative Chains and showed that it is a good therapeutical resource, specially to bring back memories through the body.Downloads
