O Papel do terapeuta ocupacional na hanseníase: atuação no estado de São Paulo

Abstract

This article is aboutthe occupatíonal therapists role evolution in treating leprosy patients. The treatment procedures used in hospitais and specialized out-patientes clinics are focused and these modes of interventíon are analyzed in relation to their outcome. A second point is focused and analysed on the new treatment procedures used in public health centers, emphatysing prímary care. This study was completed by a critical review of a document wich descriminate the O.Ts. atributions in this clinical area.
