This exhibition was accomplished in the Escola de Enfermagem da Universidade de São Paulo, USP, during Psychosocial RehabiIitation's State Day, on November 11th 1995, promoted by the Jornada Estadual de Reabilitação Psicossocial, World Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation, WAPR. Dr. Benedetto Saraceno, then president of WAPR , presents an original explanation that, leaving ofthe critic to the traditional positions ofthe psychiatric approach invites us to think that the intervention practices should be guided to a complex model that can overcome the existent division among specialists, treatment, subjects and contexts, placing in focus the importance of we think the articulation among patient, services and context. In that sense he thinks the psychosocial rehabilitation not more as treatment technique, but as strategy that promotes relationships that turn possible the alternation experience of the subjecfs suffering doesn'! determine its invalidation, but that facilitates the recovery of its capacity of generating sense and consequently social value, reestablishing its position as citizen.
