Autobiographical Poetics in Boris Pasternak's “Certificate of Protection” and “People and Positions”

The paper examines the questions of poetics on the example of the autobiographical texts of Boris Pasternak (1890-1960), a great Russian poet of the 20th century, author of the famous novel “Doctor Zhivago” (1957). “Certificate of Protection” [“Охранная грамота”, 1931] and “People and Positions” [“Люди и положения”, 1967] are analyzed through a thematic (structuring themes of autobiography, art and reality) and stylistic study (metaphor and metonymy).
