Translation of two prefaces by Anatoly Lunacharsky, an important name of the Russian Revolution, especially in the field of culture and literature. The first preface, from 1925, introduces a series of books by contemporary writers aimed at young people and schoolchildren. The second preface, from 1931, introduces a collection of critical articles of Soviet children's literature. The collection of these texts is intended to present a new face of Lunacharsky as a critic of contemporary and classic literature, as well as listing the themes he discussed about the production and reception of children's and young adult literature that are still relevant today.
