The comic in Erofeev corresponds to the poetics of postmodern literature, in which the text creates the impression of chaoand lack of logic. In the comic nature of Erofeev 's works, the features of the literature of the absurd are also guessed, the main technique of which is alogism. Its main goal was to rethink the cultural and social values of the world, exposing its imperfections. In Erofeev's works, alogism manifests itself not only at the linguistic and stylistic levels, but also at the level of the plot. The comic and tragic coexist in Erofeev on the principle of ambivalence, where the comic is external (manifested in the language of narration and the construction of speech), and the tragic exists at the level of the plot – is internal. This article examines the combination of comic and tragic in three major works by Erofeev: “Notes of a psychopath”, “Moscow-Petushki” and “Walpurgis Night, or the Steps of the Commander”.
