Abstract

Cabaret is a theatrical genre that was born in France of experimental nature, as a search for new ways to comment and satirize its own period. The cabaret created in Berlin during the Weimar Republic served to comment on the political tensions which flooded the new republic and paved the way to the ascension of Adolph Hitler. The purpose of this papel is to present how the text Die Höchste Eisenbahn, written by Friedrich Hollander, was created as a warning concerning the Nazi threat.
