This essay focuses on Valéria Costa Pinto’s photographic “perceptos” in order to discuss how certain problems addressed by the avant-garde photographers of the 1920’s are appropriated by contemporary artists. The cinematic properties of the “perceptos” allow us to suggest na ur-topic dimension of photography – one that invites us to experience the presence and the origin of the places.Downloads
