Characteristics of users diagnosed with depressive disorder undergoing treatment at a Psychosocial Care Center

Objective: to describe the profile of users diagnosed with depressive disorder undergoing treatment at a psychosocial care center in a city in São Paulo state, Brazil. Method: quantitative, descriptive, exploratory, and epidemiological. Data were collected from the records of patients treated in the selected period, compiled on a Microsoft Excel 2016 sheet and analyzed by the
statistical software Stata 16. Results: prevalence of females, mean age of 48 years old, no partners, no significant variation in family history, educational level that allows for entering the labor market, no comorbidities, no use of chemical substances and no significant variation in terms of suicidal ideation. Conclusion: the analysis of variables allowed for better understanding the characteristics of users, which can contribute to more appropriate care planning for this population.
