This instrument aims to disseminate knowledge about care delivery to patients with psychiatric disorders. It refers to epidemiological, pharmaceutical aspects and health problems addressed by pharmaceutical care. Two questionnaires were developed to assess these parameters in 240 patients. The questionnaires supported data collection and showed that the most prevalent age group and gender are: older than forty years and female. Most patients are responsible for the administration of drugs. The main vices are smoking and alcoholism. The primary adverse reaction is blurred vision. The literature emphasizes that the diagnosis of the disease and early treatment avoid negative social and personal consequences. In view of the above, the deployment of pharmaceutical care is suggested, reviewing concepts, approaches and ways of approaching and treating psychiatric disorders.
