Risk factors and proposals to reduce drug demand in medicine students from a venezuelan university

This qualitative study aimed to explore the perception of risk factors for drug consumption and proposals to reduce the demand of students recently enrolled in the School of Medicine of a Venezuelan university. The research used the focus groups technique for the collection of information and content analysis for information processing. Sample consisted of 120 students. Results show the perception of the students about changes faced by them and their relationship with emotional, social and context factors as potential psychosocial stressors that act as risk factors.
