The effect of Corpus Linguistics in the development of didactic materials and in the production of significant output in Italian/FL classes

Abstract

Given the small number of studies on the effects of Corpus Linguistics on the teaching of Italian as a foreign language, the present study seeks to describe the functioning and results of an empirical investigation conducted during a course designed for adult Brazilian students. Through the transcriptions of dialogues recorded during the execution of tasks performed in pairs/trios, it was possible to diagnose the role played by data and didactic material based on corpora as a tool capable of boosting processes related to learning.
