Abstract

This paper examines the insertion of youth cultures into school, to encourage it to articulate reading, technologies, media and connectivity.  Through bibliographic research and outcomes from investigation (Quadros, 2011), we outline the reader’s usual path, which can fit, within one’s early education, as reluctant reader (Jobe e Sakari, 1999). Through educational practices, readers may gradually take cultural control of reading process. The outcomes point out to a school’s social responsibility regards to the young readers’ repertoire of cultural profile.
