A INSERÇÃO DO NOTICIÁRIO INTERNACIONAL NAS CAPAS DO CORREIO DA MANHÃ DURANTE A REVOLTA DA VACINA

This article expresses partial results of an ongoing research that intends to analyze how agency journalism was inserted on the covers of Correio da Manhã during the months that preceded the Vaccine Revolt. The article analyzes reports published in the periodical between July 1st and November 10th, 1904, when the Revolt broke out. It is about understanding how the journal used international news, especially in a period when dedicating the first page to foreign news was a sign of the vehicle's respectability, as well as the ways in which important national events, such as the Vaccine Revolt, affected this insertion.
