This first study intends to rescue the history of the Collectio Gallery by analyzing its position in the media, in advertisements, reports or interviews published in the Brazilian press between 1970 and 1973, which will allow us a privileged view of the Brazilian art market growth. Its brief trajectory would be marked by an intense action and profound impact on the growth seen in those years, especially regarding the modern art auctions, in which it was particularly engaged. The article offers an evaluation of the art market growth in the 1970s, observing in parallel the process of consecration of Brazilian modernism.
