The text discusses the growing separation between the objectives of market-driven institutions and genuine interest in art, pointing to the dilution and dispersion of works in museums and collections. It highlights the resistance of academic production and the market’s difficulty in supporting works by Brazilian artists. Finally, it defends the need for individual strategies to preserve the integrity and permanence of art.
