Abstract

The paper addresses the temporalities of images from the column Garotas of Alceu in the the pin-ups illustrated by Penna to the magazine were images surrounded by advertisements, behavior, morals and fashions in vogue in its historical production time. However, according to Georges Didi-Huberman, the image belongs to time. Multiple, impure, heterogenic, dialectic, anachronic times also permeate the images in study. The Garotas of Alceu (Girls of Alceu), pin-ups, were analyzed modern nymphs that associate beauty to trauma. Between the girls and the nymphs, the presentations of Salome and of the decapitated heads were here highlighted and analyzed.
