Second, we introduce the data concerning the size of the public sector in the Brazilian economy. After, we analyze the economic aspects of the commitment to the agreement using information on the value of the public contracts of the countries members of GPA and on the actual contracted value of external suppliers. Finally, we evaluate the potential implications of the adhesion to the agreement.
