A cédula de produto rural-CPR e seus ambientes contratual e operacional

The aim of this paper is to locate the “Cédula de Produto Rural-CPR” (an agricultural bond issued by producers) in the contractual and operational environment. With this objective the economical environment was considered as well the existence of similar bonds to raise money to plant and trade crops, and the role of the bond serving as a hedging instrument. A comparison between forward and futures market was considered as well the design of contracts and the price formation process.
