Padrões de comércio e crescimento industrial do nordeste: 1967/80

This article attempts at presenting an evaluation regarding the recent pattern of industrial growth in the Northeast and, in addition, at exploring some of the existing interrelations between the strategies of industrial growth in the country and those in the region. We present a methodology which allows us to break down the sources of industrial growth, and then we investigate the role of import substitution, export expansion as well as that of the regional market for the growth of the Northeastern industry.
