Renda mínima, trabalho e cidadania: o projeto Suplicy em debate

The article analyzes the Programme of Guaranteed Minimum Income being proposed
by Senator Eduardo Suplicy by calling attention to its significance for rethinking
citizenship in a context of social and unemployment crisis. The main thesis of the article is
that, in such a context, if we want to prevent social disintegration, we need to take
seriously into account these proposals toward the uncouple of income from work.
