This paper examines the relationship between structure of production and income distribution in Brazil. A Social Accounting Matrix (1975) is built and extended into a linear model. Income and output multipliers are calculated. The disaggregation of households into social classes as well as production activities according to the adopted technologies allow the analysis and evaluation of the impacts of distinct technologies on the distribution of income among social classes. The results suggest that factors others than technological ones may be playing an important role in the distributional process in Brazil.
