Ação e ordem social em Locke e Smith

In this paper it is verified if the individualistic perspective - that endeavors to explain all economic fenomena as something arising from individual behavior - can be consistent. For that, it is examined how Locke and Smith answer effectively the hobbesian problem about the possibility conditions of a social order conceived from an atomistic point of view. It is suggested that the individualistic perspective becomes contradictory and that it intervertes itself in a functionalist perspective in the argumentation path.
