The Groupe de recherche sur la socialisation, which for more than 30 years has maintained its scientific activities focused on the study of socialization processes in the French academic space, was inserted, in 2011, in a new laboratory called Centre Max Weber, of the University of Lyon 2, which also included other research groups. To learn about aspects of this transition, the interview was conducted with sociologist and researcher Sylvia Faure. In addition to reporting the current composition of the Centre Max Weber laboratory, and, in particular, the MEPS team - Modes, spaces and socialization processes, of which it is part, it seeks to update the way the research is conducted in the current configuration of the group, the themes and ways of (re)thinking the concept of socialization.
