This article thematises the bureaucratic routines instigated by the punishment of two teachers at School Group Hercílio Luz (Tubarão – Santa Catarina). It problematizes the movements started by their suspensions in order to understand the political and sociability rules in the school routine management. To do so, the source used was a series of official letters dispatched by Albano Monteiro Espíndola (Director of Public Instruction) as well as the local press that reported the teacher’s professional trajectories. The objective was to track the operations to enforce the punishments, as well as the political subjects mobilized in order to understand the decision taken within a specific school. For that, the historiographic operation method was used as purposed by Michel de Certau and the consideration of the practices as operations. As results, this article presents the list of places accessed by the political subjects whose operations and elaborations about the teaching profession where tracked. Finally, conclusion shows ambivalence of the command´s place in public instruction and the diversity of spots inside the hierarchy that compose it.
