Abstract

The issue that surrounds the homogeneity of the psychoanalytic clinic has gained more and more space in the contemporary researches. Conducting the setting rigidly and orthodoxly can be a risk of alienation for the analyst and also for the patient. I will present here a clinical case of a child treatment, guided by the concepts of “elastic technique” by Sándor Ferenczi and Winnicott’s “importance of playing”. The final comments will direct the reader to a possible reflection on the managements and frameworks, proposing an invitation to rethink the contemporary clinic.
