Abstract

The treatment of children with severe psychological problems tests the hypothesis that their position front castration - linked to language - determines the way that they relate to general learning and writing skills. This article presents the theoretical foundation and clinical observations of the work developed by the Writing Group, created in 2002 at Lugar de Vida. Based on a multi-disciplinary approach, the group's objective is to offer activities linked to reading and writing, which set in motion children's cognitive skills in order to reorganize their symbolic field.
