Abstract

The present text, based on Winnicott's thought about the aetiology of autism, discusses the relation of the mother's emotional state with the environmental failures related to the appearance of this pathology in the child. It emphasizes the focus given by this author to the unconscious hatred of the mother of her baby, also showing the mother's protection against this feeling in the actiology. It observes carefully the possibility of this feeling of hatred being suceeded from the abandonment in the motherhood, marking the mother's necessity of emotional sustentation for the environment around her.
