Abstract

This article describes the idea of the burst institution of the École Expérimentale de Bonneuil- sur-Marne. This idea could become the Écoles main characteristic only because the experimental practice of this institution (which receives children and juveniles in difficulties) is joined with psychoanalytical, (post- )structuralistic and antipsychiatrical theories. In Bonneuil, psychoanalytical theories are not only applied to the analysis of interpersonal relations, but also help understanding institutional structures. In this way, the burst institution opens the opportunity to go a stretch on the road of wish for the children and juveniles as well as for the adults who work there. Finally, I show how this institution has - throughout and despite of its 30 years of existence as burst institution - managed to resist institutional sclerosis.
