Abstract

The article seeks to understand the configuration of Colombian television fiction from the memory of the persons that participated in that scenario and whose testimonies appear in different products. Without losing sight of the fact that interviews are part of a selective reconstruction of the past and a narrative about fiction, we seek to identify characteristics, transformations, ruptures and continuities of Colombian telefiction considering the tensions between the television industry and the social, cultural and political life from the country. The analysis revealed an imaginary of two national televisions, framed in the mixed and private models of Colombian television, which also generated two types of telefiction. This panorama reflects a set of transformations in relation to a nation project, led by the State and sustained by diversity, which gradually weakened in the face of market interests.
