Abstract

This article is part of an extensive study on an Argentinean comic, El Eternauta, by Hector Germán Oesterheld. In a panoramic manner, emphasizing certain crucial points of the relation between this work and the popular culture of the neighboring country, we sought to analyze the characteristics and possibilities of understanding the narrative of Oesterheld and its intersection with the militant commitment assumed by the author during the most recent Argentine military dictatorship.
