Abstract

This article proposes a reflection about the functioning of a mechanism of public policy, the Rouanet Law and its impacts on the functioning of a field of symbolic production, that of the visual arts, especially in the field of art museums. From the theory of the fields of symbolic production proposed by Pierre Bourdieu, we question the interference of actors from other spheres in the dynamic of the field of visual arts in function of the modus operandi of patronage, the most important of the financing mechanisms to the post culture in operation by Pronac, established by Law.
