Abstract

In this article I recover elements of the urban periphery phenomenon to (re) know the performance of the peripheral subjects in the accomplishment of some artistic practices and that are also political and informational resources that generate processes of social changes by resignifying the peripheral territory. For this we will know periphery in academic research, the context that precedes the peripheries and their emergence in the city of São Paulo, the proposition of periphery as a cultural system, the strength of voice and listening in peripheral cultural practices, as well as its counter-possibility. hegemonic of these practices.
